Bill was the first to finish playing black getting the better of a Kings Indian game. Then Adrian won on top board with White. Stephen made it 3-0 and Martin got a draw to clinch the match. Graham also drew as we recorded a 4-2 win.
This puts us above Upminster 2 in the League table. With one match remaining at home to Ilford, hopefully we can secure our position in Division 2.

• Brian was the first to finish in a dead drawn position.
• Josue won a pawn early on and over ran his opponent to get our first win.
• Bill was a pawn up in a bishop & pawn ending. It looked like his opponent’s king was better placed, but he outmanoeuvred him meaning he was going to queen a pawn.
• Simon had a slight advantage, but this game resulted in a draw.
• Stephen in a complicated position forced a mistake from his opponent and won a piece.
• Adrian was last to finish. He always had a better position and obtained an unstoppable passed pawn resulting in a 5-1 win.
